Why November to March is the best time to visit Dubai

From mid-November to mid-March, Dubai's highs sit between 24°C and 30°C and humidity is low. That is the window when a desert safari, a walk through the old souks and an evening at Global Village feel comfortable rather than draining. It also lines up neatly with Diwali, Christmas and the January long weekends in India, which is why fares and hotel rates rise with the temperature drop.

Month-by-month: what to expect

November to March (peak season)

The weather is the best it gets. December and the first half of January are the busiest weeks: the Dubai Shopping Festival, UAE National Day and New Year's Eve all fall here, and 4★ room rates can be 40–80% higher than in October. February is often the sweet spot, with good weather and fewer families travelling.

October and April (shoulder)

Afternoons touch 33–35°C, so plan outdoor sights for the morning or after 4 pm. Beaches and water parks are at their best, hotel deals are easier to find, and Global Village opens in mid-October.

May to September (summer)

Highs of 40–41°C with coastal humidity make walking outside unpleasant after 9 am. If you go, build the trip around malls, Ski Dubai, aquariums and indoor parks. Hotel rates can drop by a third or more, which is why summer still suits families on a tight budget during Indian school holidays.

Visiting Dubai during Ramadan 2027

Ramadan is expected to run from about 8 February to 9 March 2027. Restaurants and malls stay open for visitors, but be discreet about eating and drinking in public during daylight, and expect shorter hours at some attractions. Evenings are lively, with iftar tents and late-night markets.

Gulf flight schedules were disrupted at short notice during parts of 2026. Check the MEA travel advisory and your airline's status before paying in full, and buy cover that includes trip cancellation through travel insurance.

Once you have dates, see what the trip will cost on Dubai trip cost, choose an area on where to stay in Dubai, and plan your days with things to do in Dubai. Most Indian passport holders need a visa arranged before flying; the steps are on our UAE visa guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is December a good time to visit Dubai?
Yes for weather, with highs around 26°C, but it is the most expensive month. The Dubai Shopping Festival, National Day and New Year's Eve all fall in December, so hotel rates rise sharply and attractions are crowded. Book flights and hotels six to eight weeks ahead, or move your trip to late January or February for similar weather at lower prices.
Can I visit Dubai in summer?
You can, but expect highs of 40–41°C and humid nights from June to September. Outdoor sightseeing is only comfortable before 9 am or after sunset. Summer works if you plan around malls, indoor theme parks and hotel pools, and it is the cheapest season for hotels. Avoid desert safaris in the middle of the day.
Is it okay to visit Dubai during Ramadan?
Yes. Ramadan 2027 is expected from about 8 February to 9 March. Hotels, malls and most restaurants work normally for visitors, though some attractions shorten their hours. Avoid eating, drinking or smoking openly in public during daylight as a courtesy. Evenings are lively, and hotel rates are often lower than in January.
When is Dubai cheapest for Indian travellers?
June to September is cheapest for hotels, often a third lower than winter, though Gulf flights can spike in July and August when Indian expats travel home. For a balance of weather and price, aim for late October, early November before Diwali, or the second half of February outside Ramadan's Eid week.
When is the Dubai Shopping Festival 2026–27?
The festival's announced dates are 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. Expect mall-wide sales, raffles, nightly drone shows and fireworks. Hotel rates are higher throughout, especially around Christmas and New Year, so book early if you want to shop the festival rather than just visit Dubai in winter.
