• Jewel Changi Airport — The Rain Vortex and canopy park — worth arriving early or scheduling a stopover for.
• Little India and Chinatown — Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, Tekka Centre and Chinatown's food streets — the city's most characterful hours.

When to travel

Singapore is warm and humid year-round with no real off-season, so travel whenever suits your leave. February to April is marginally drier. November and December see more rain but it arrives as short heavy showers rather than washed-out days. Late May to July brings the Great Singapore Sale, and hotel rates spike around Formula 1 in September.

Entry and paperwork

Indian passport holders require a Singapore visa, applied for in advance through an authorised agent. Processing is typically three to five working days.
