Foreign Exchange
Currency notes, forex cards and wire transfers at transparent, live-linked rates.
Airport counters and hotel desks are the most expensive places to change money, sometimes by five or six per cent. Arranging currency before you leave, at a rate you can see, is one of the easiest savings on any international trip.
What we arrange
Currency notes in all major currencies, multi-currency forex cards that lock your rate at the point of loading, and outward wire transfers for university fees, medical treatment and family maintenance under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme.
How we quote
We show you the rate and the total in rupees before you commit, with our margin visible rather than buried. There is no separate handling charge added at the counter.
Cards or cash?
For most destinations a forex card handles the bulk of spending, with a modest amount of cash for taxis, tips and small vendors. In a few countries — parts of Southeast Asia and Africa — cash goes considerably further, and we will tell you where that applies rather than defaulting to the card.
Compliance
All transactions follow RBI guidelines under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme. We require your passport, visa, confirmed ticket and PAN, and we issue proper documentation for every transaction so your records are clean.
