Hotel Booking

Properties we have inspected or sent travellers to — chosen for location before star rating.

The single biggest variable in how a trip feels is where you sleep, and specifically how far that is from where you want to be. A four-star hotel forty minutes out of the centre is a worse holiday than a three-star you can walk out of.

How we choose

Location first, then room category, then facilities. We book properties we have inspected or sent travellers to repeatedly, and we track feedback so a hotel having a bad year gets dropped rather than kept because the rate is good.

What we confirm in writing

Room category and view, bed configuration, whether an extra bed is a real bed or a sofa, the actual child-age policy, meal plan, and whether the airport transfer is included or charged. These are the details that cause arguments at check-in, so we get them in writing beforehand.

Beyond the booking

Early check-in and late check-out requests, connecting rooms for families, honeymoon amenities, dietary requirements notified in advance, and accessibility needs confirmed with the property rather than assumed.

Frequently asked questions

Why not just book online myself?
For a single night in a business hotel, do. For a family needing connecting rooms, a honeymoon needing a specific villa category, or a group of twenty, the details that matter are not visible on a booking site.
Do you get better rates than online sites?
Often, on contracted properties and for longer stays. Where an online rate is genuinely better, we will tell you and book you into it anyway.
