Family holidays fail for boring reasons: a four-hour drive after a morning flight, a hotel room that sleeps three when you are four, a museum day with a six-year-old, or a walking tour a grandparent cannot manage.
We plan around the hardest person to please
Every family has one — the toddler, the teenager, or the parent with a knee. We build the day around them and everything else falls into place. That means shorter transfers, mid-afternoon breaks at the hotel, and a mix of one "everyone" activity and one "just for the kids" activity most days.
Rooms that actually fit
We confirm room configuration before booking: connecting rooms where they exist, family rooms where they are genuinely family-sized, extra beds versus sofa beds, and the real child-age policy rather than the one on the booking site. A family of five in two rooms is a very different price to a family of five squeezed into one.
Destinations that reward families
Singapore and Dubai are almost foolproof for a first international family trip — short flights, easy food, world-class attractions. Thailand and Malaysia stretch further on the same budget. Within India, Kerala, Rajasthan, Goa, Himachal and the Andamans work well across ages. For older children, Europe and Japan become genuinely rewarding rather than exhausting.
