Day-by-day plan

  1. 1

    Day 1

Arrive, Jewel and Gardens by the Bay

    • Morning: Land at Changi; most flights from India arrive early. See the Rain Vortex at Jewel before leaving the airport.

    • Afternoon: Drop bags at the hotel and head to Gardens by the Bay for the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.

    • Evening: Garden Rhapsody at 7:45 pm at the Supertree Grove, then walk to the Marina Bay Sands promenade for Spectra at 9 pm.

Stay: Marina Bay or Clarke Quay

Check-in is usually 3 pm. Ask the hotel to hold your bags and use the morning for Jewel and Gardens.

  2. 2

    Day 2

    Universal Studios and Sentosa

    • Morning: Universal Studios from opening time. Ride Transformers and Battlestar Galactica first, before queues build.

    • Afternoon: Finish at Universal, or for non-riders, Siloso Beach, the Skyline Luge and the cable car.

    • Evening: Wings of Time on Siloso Beach, then dinner at VivoCity, which has several Indian restaurants.

Stay: Marina Bay or Clarke Quay

  3. 3

    Day 3

Heritage districts and the Night Safari

    • Morning: Chinatown: Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple and Maxwell Food Centre.

    • Afternoon: Little India for a thali lunch, Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple and Mustafa Centre, then Haji Lane and the Sultan Mosque in Kampong Glam.

    • Evening: Night Safari: take the earliest tram slot, then the Creatures of the Night show.

Stay: Marina Bay or Clarke Quay

Eat before the Night Safari; the food court at the entrance gets crowded.

  4. 4

    Day 4

A light last day and departure

    • Morning: Singapore Zoo or Bird Paradise for families, or Orchard Road for shoppers.

    • Afternoon: The Marina Bay Sands SkyPark deck or a Singapore River bumboat ride if time allows. Collect bags from the hotel.

    • Evening: Reach Changi three hours before your flight home.

Is 4 days enough for Singapore?

Four days and three nights covers Singapore's essentials at a pace that works for families. This plan groups sights by area: Marina Bay on day one, Sentosa on day two, the heritage districts and Mandai on day three, and a lighter last day before your flight. Most flights from India land early in the morning and leave in the evening or at night, so you get close to four full days.

Where to stay for this plan

A hotel near an MRT station on the Circle or Downtown line keeps every journey under 30 minutes. Marina Bay and Clarke Quay are the most convenient; Bugis and Little India are cheaper. See where to stay in Singapore for the trade-offs.

What does it cost?

The mid-range land cost starts at about ₹40,000 per person, twin sharing, for three nights in a 4-star hotel, airport transfers, Gardens by the Bay, Universal Studios, the Night Safari and the Sentosa cable car. Meals, the visa and flights are extra; return fares from Indian metros run about ₹15,000–35,000. Our Singapore trip cost guide has the full breakdown.

Adjusting the plan

  • Adults without children: swap Universal Studios for a slower Sentosa day plus the Southern Ridges walk.
  • Young children: split Sentosa into two half days and add the zoo.
  • One extra day: the zoo or Bird Paradise, plus an evening river cruise from Clarke Quay.

Indian passport holders need a Singapore visa, applied for through an authorised agent before travel, and an SG Arrival Card within three days of arrival. See the Singapore visa guide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a 4-day Singapore trip cost from India?
For a mid-range version of this plan, budget about ₹68,000–80,000 per person, twin sharing, including return flights, three nights in a 4-star hotel, transfers and the main attractions. A budget version with a 3-star hotel and fewer paid attractions starts around ₹50,000. Meals, the visa and travel insurance are extra.
Can you do Universal Studios and Sentosa in one day?
You can do Universal Studios and catch the Wings of Time show on Siloso Beach in one long day, but not much more. If you also want the beaches, the luge and the cable car, split Sentosa into two half days or skip some rides. Families with young children usually prefer two days.
What is the best way to get around Singapore?
The MRT is fast, clean and reaches almost every stop on this itinerary. Tap in with a contactless Visa or Mastercard, or buy a reloadable EZ-Link card at a station. Taxis and Grab are reasonably priced for groups of three or four, and handy for Mandai, which is 30–40 minutes from the city.
