Quick answer
Singapore works year-round, but February to April is the most comfortable stretch, with less rain than the year-end monsoon and no haze risk. Expect 31–32°C and high humidity in every month. November to January is the wettest period, and the May–June school holidays bring the biggest crowds from India, so book early for those dates.

When is the best time to visit Singapore?
Singapore sits just north of the equator, so it never really has a season in the Indian sense. Daytime highs stay at 30–32°C all year and humidity rarely drops below 70%. What changes from month to month is rain and crowds.
February to April is the most comfortable window. February is the driest month, March and April bring afternoon thunderstorms that usually clear within an hour, and the city isn't yet full of Indian summer-holiday families. If your dates are flexible, this is when we usually suggest booking.
Is Singapore good in May and June?
For weather, it's fine, and for families it's very good, because so much of Singapore is indoors or air-conditioned: the Gardens by the Bay domes, Jewel at Changi, the museums and the malls. The catch is crowds and price. Universal Studios has long queues even on weekdays in late May, and hotel rates in Marina Bay and Orchard climb. Book 6–8 weeks ahead and buy attraction tickets online for fixed dates.
The rainy months and the haze
The northeast monsoon runs from about November to January. December is the wettest month, with heavy afternoon storms and the occasional fully grey day, so outdoor plans like Sentosa's beaches and the Night Safari need a backup day.
Between June and October, smoke haze from forest fires in Indonesia sometimes drifts across. Most years it's mild or absent; in a bad year it affects children and anyone with asthma. Check the NEA haze readings the week before you fly.
What to pack for any month
- Light cotton or linen, plus one layer for cold malls and MRT trains
- A compact umbrella, which is more useful than a raincoat here
- Comfortable walking shoes; 15,000 steps a day is normal
The Formula 1 night race in early October pushes Marina Bay hotel rates up sharply. If you're not going to the race, shift your dates by a week.
