Who this Abu Dhabi itinerary suits
This is a relaxed plan for families, couples and anyone who wants Abu Dhabi's culture rather than a rushed day trip from Dubai. It keeps one major site in each half-day and leaves time to rest. For more options, see things to do in Abu Dhabi.
Why this order works
The Grand Mosque is at its best at sunset, so it closes day one. Saadiyat's mangroves and Louvre are next to each other, and Qasr Al Watan is a short drive back towards the city. The BAPS Mandir and Yas Island both sit on the airport side of the city, which makes them a natural last day.
Combining Abu Dhabi with Dubai
Many travellers add these three days to a Dubai trip. If you arrive in Dubai and leave from Abu Dhabi, visit the mandir on the transfer between the two cities, as it is close to the highway.
What this plan costs
Mid-range land cost starts at about ₹26,000 per person, twin sharing, for two nights in a 4★ hotel, airport transfers, the UAE visa, Louvre and Qasr Al Watan tickets and one Yas Island park. With three nights and return flights from Delhi or Mumbai, expect about ₹56,000 per person; see Abu Dhabi trip cost.
Most Indian passport holders need a UAE visa arranged before flying. Read our UAE visa guide.
