    Theme park and departure

    • Morning: Disneyland, about 20 minutes by road from the airport, or Ocean Park on Hong Kong Island.

How should you spend 4 days in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong is compact, so a short trip works well. This plan gives one day each to Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and Lantau, then puts the theme park on the last day, because Disneyland is only about 20 minutes by road from the airport. Base yourself in Tsim Sha Tsui for all three nights. It's on the Airport Express route via Kowloon station, close to the Star Ferry, and full of Indian restaurants.

Disneyland or Ocean Park on day four?

Disneyland for children under 10; Ocean Park for teenagers and adults who want proper rides. Ocean Park is on the south side of Hong Kong Island, so if you choose it, leave at least four hours between closing time and your flight.

What does this itinerary cost?

The mid-range land cost starts at about ₹40,000 per person, twin sharing, for three nights in a 4-star hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, airport transfers, the Peak Tram, Ngong Ping 360 and a Disneyland or Ocean Park ticket. Meals, the Octopus card and flights are extra; return fares from Indian metros run about ₹26,000–45,000. See the Hong Kong trip cost for details.

Before you go

  • Complete the free online Pre-Arrival Registration and print the slip; see the Hong Kong visa guide.
  • From June to September, watch the Observatory's typhoon warnings and keep day three flexible.
  • Read where to stay in Hong Kong if Tsim Sha Tsui doesn't suit your budget.

Add a fifth day for Macau. The bridge shuttle bus takes about 45 minutes, and Indian passport holders can visit visa-free.

Frequently asked questions

Is 4 days enough for Hong Kong?
Four days covers Hong Kong's main sights: Victoria Peak, the harbour and Star Ferry, Kowloon's markets, the Big Buddha on Lantau and one theme park. You'll be busy but not rushed. Add a fifth day for Macau, or a sixth for both Disneyland and Ocean Park if you're travelling with children.
Which area is best to stay in for this Hong Kong itinerary?
Tsim Sha Tsui works best. It's close to the Airport Express at Kowloon station, the Star Ferry, the harbour promenade and the night markets, and it has the most Indian and vegetarian restaurants. Causeway Bay or Wan Chai suit shoppers. Central is the most convenient for the Peak but also the most expensive.
How do I get from Hong Kong airport to the city?
The Airport Express reaches Kowloon station in about 20 minutes and Hong Kong station in about 24, with free shuttle buses from Kowloon station to many hotels. Fares are about HK$100–120 (₹1,100–1,350) one way. A taxi to Tsim Sha Tsui costs roughly HK$270–330 (₹3,000–3,700) and suits families with luggage.
