When to travel

April to June and September to October are ideal — warm without the summer extremes, and best for balloon flights. July and August are hot, particularly on the coast, and busiest. Winter brings snow to Cappadocia, which is beautiful over the fairy chimneys but cancels more balloon flights.

Entry and paperwork

Indian passport holders can apply for a Turkish e-visa online, though eligibility conditions often require holding a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit. Those who do not qualify apply through the consulate. We check your eligibility before booking so there are no surprises.
