Which airlines fly Mumbai to Goa?

IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express and Akasa Air run frequent daily flights, split between the two Goa airports. Some flights now leave from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI), which opened in late 2025, so check which Mumbai airport is on your ticket. Non-stops are so frequent that there's no reason to connect.

Baggage

IndiGo, Akasa and Air India Express include 15 kg checked and 7 kg cabin on standard fares, with food for sale. Air India includes a meal. If you're bringing back cashews and kokum in bulk, pre-paid extra baggage is cheaper than paying at the airport.

When to book

Book 3–6 weeks ahead; for Christmas and New Year, 8–12 weeks. July to September (monsoon Goa) is cheapest, along with weekday flights in late January and February. Friday and Sunday evening flights cost the most.

Train or flight?

Vande Bharat and Tejas trains take about 8 hours to Madgaon; a flight plus airport time is 3.5–4 hours. Mid-morning flights suit families and seniors, and DigiYatra speeds up entry at Mumbai.
