These city break itineraries in Italy are built by consultants who sell the destination regularly and know which routes hold up in practice. Each one publishes the duration, the cities, the inclusions and the hotel category — and no dates, because we operate them when it suits you.
Ruins, canals and the world's best food. Every itinerary below can be adjusted: extend a city, change the hotel category, add a private guide or merge two routes. Send an enquiry and we will re-cost it and reply within a working day.
Best time to visit Italy
April to June and September to October are the best months — warm, long days and lighter crowds than midsummer. July and August are very hot, particularly in Rome and Florence, and busiest. November to March is quiet and cheap, with Venice at its most atmospheric, though some coastal towns partially close.
