Who flies Pune to Dubai non-stop?

Air India Express and IndiGo operate the non-stops at the time of review. Pune's airport shares its runway with an Air Force base, which limits slots, so there are only a few international departures a day. Emirates and other Gulf airlines don't serve Pune at present.

Pune or Mumbai?

Mumbai's Terminal 2 is 3–4 hours away by the expressway but offers Emirates, Air India and many more flight times. Pune works best for short trips with light bags. Mumbai makes sense for families who want Emirates' baggage and meals, or when Pune fares spike; a cab to Mumbai airport costs about ₹3,500–5,000. Navi Mumbai International Airport, about 2.5 hours from Pune, opened in late 2025, so check whether airlines have added international flights there.

Best flight timings

Dubai is 1 hour 30 minutes behind India. Morning flights land before noon local time; late-night departures land in the small hours, which is hard on children.

Baggage: what's included

Both airlines charge for meals and seats. Their cheapest fares may be cabin-only, including Air India Express's 'Lite' fares, so add a checked bag before comparing with an Emirates fare from Mumbai.

Getting from Dubai airport to the city

Indian airlines use Terminal 1, on the Metro Red Line: Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall is about 30 minutes away for AED 5–8 (₹120–190). A taxi to Downtown costs AED 60–80 (₹1,450–1,900); to Dubai Marina, AED 90–120 (₹2,150–2,900).

When to book

Book 3–6 weeks ahead; with few flights, Pune sells out faster than Mumbai. July and February–March are cheapest; late August, Diwali and December are the dearest.

Tips for families and seniors

Pune's newer terminal has better seating and lifts, but still request wheelchair help at booking. Pack snacks, since meals cost extra.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a direct flight from Pune to Dubai?
Yes. Air India Express and IndiGo run non-stops at the time of review, taking about 3 hours to 3 hours 25 minutes. Pune has limited international slots, so there are only a few departures a day; book early for holiday dates.
Does Emirates fly from Pune?
Not at the time of review. Emirates serves several Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi and Ahmedabad, but not Pune. Pune travellers who want Emirates usually drive 3–4 hours to Mumbai.
Should I fly to Dubai from Pune or Mumbai?
Fly from Pune for convenience if the fare is close and you're travelling light. Mumbai offers Emirates, Air India and far more flight times, which helps families with heavy bags or seniors who want meals and more legroom. Factor in ₹3,500–5,000 for a cab to Mumbai airport.
When is the cheapest time to fly Pune to Dubai?
July and February–March usually have the lowest fares. Avoid late August, when Gulf-based families return for the school year, plus Diwali, Christmas and New Year. With few daily flights from Pune, book 4–6 weeks ahead for any holiday period.
