Best time to visit Ladakh
May to September is the season. The Srinagar–Leh road typically opens earlier than the Manali–Leh route, and both close with the first heavy snow. July and August are warmest and busiest. Winter travel is possible by air for the Chadar trek and snow leopard expeditions, but conditions are severe.
